NIN Enrolments Increase To N97.49 Million

 


The NIN Enrolments of Nigerians increased to N97.49 million, in the captured National Identity database of the  National Identity Management  Commission (NIMC).

Speaking of the data shown as of February of this year one million new enrolments were recorded and the total figure was 96.5.

Speaking of the data shown according to statistics, Lagos State has the highest enrolment list in the country followed by Kano then Kaduna follows which was the third.

Lagos and Kano have always been the team in the state which has the highest enrolment records since the beginning of the exercise.

In regards to Gender distribution according to the National Identity management commission(NIMC), females has the highest records than male.

According to NIMC, it revealed the states with the lowest NIN issues,  Akwa-Ibom, Enugu, cross-river, Yobe, Ekiti, Taraba, and others.

According to the new Government policy introduced in December last year, mandating all mobile subscribers to link their SIM with NIN, many Nigerians are being forced to enroll for the national number due to the policy introduced.

Through the policy introduced, the government’s directive in April this year mandated telecom operators to bar outgoing calls from telephone lines not linked, which affects about 75 million lines.
